Zoo parc de Thoiry

This zoological park, which covers 150 of the 380 hectares of the estate, presents approximately 1,500 animals belonging to approximately 95 species of mammals, 28 species of birds and 30 species of reptiles. It also presents amphibians and invertebrates. It includes a safari section, which can be visited by car, a more traditional pedestrian section and a botanical park comprising several themed gardens: autumn gardens, perfume gardens, English gardens, labyrinth, rose garden, and a French inverted parterre designed by Claude Desgots. Thoiry Castle is a work of Renaissance architecture. Its flowerbeds form a solar calendar on a landscape scale. Its rooms feature furniture, tapestries, and portraits.
